Principal's Message

I am honored to introduce myself as Camarillo Heights STEM Academy's Principal. I first joined PVSD as a special education teacher in 2012. My classroom experience has included teaching elementary students in the self-contained and learning center settings.

My bachelor's degree is in Social Work and my master's degree is in Curriculum and Instruction. My leadership journey first began in the health care field where I was a skilled nursing administrator. After taking time off to raise my children, inspired by a long line of educators in my husband's family, I entered the field of education. For the past four years, I have been a district administrator in my role as a Program Specialist, a role that granted me the privilege of supporting the supervision, coordination, and implementation of the district's special education services.

Camarillo Heights is a school that is very special to me. My three children attended CHSA for elementary school and our family has wonderful memories of CHSA's annual school carnival, peer buddies, square dancing, and other rich traditions that united our school community. Now my children are adults, with the oldest just graduating college and the youngest now entering college, but they still talk fondly of those earlier years.

Our school's mission is to prepare students to be leaders who thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This mission applies to all learners within our diverse school community and can be achieved through the collaborative partnership of our staff, students, and families. I look forward to our work together in the coming year.
